The VersionTag is string indicating the version of an entity. Every time the entitiy is modified, the VersionTag changes.
When fetching entities from the API, the VersionTag is included along with every entity. It is then possible to report back what entities were picked up with what VersionTag. With this in place, a list of all changes (new, updated, deleted) can be retrieved.
